Overview

A rather sought-after trek in the Ladakh region, the Markha Valley trek route does not disappoint anyone! It spills the chance to ascend the top of two very high passes, Gandala La (4800 m) & Kongmaru La (5150 m) and lets you feast your eyes on stunning sights from the summit. You also come across the charming Markha Village that is a trove in this cold semi-arid terrain of Ladakh. Other delights include witnessing the way of life of the region, crossing several streams and rivers and enjoying a trail through remote gorges and unbridled grazing grounds.

Insurance

Day 1- Reach Leh | Acclimatise to the new place | Evening Sightseeing | Distance 25 km total

Arrive at Leh Airport, where our driver will greet you with a name board and transfer you to the hotel.
Stay hydrated and acclimatise for the day.
In the evening, visit Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa, and the local market.

Day 2- Lower Ladakh Sightseeing | Distance 120 km

Start your day with a hearty breakfast and head towards Lamayuru, the Moonland of Ladakh.
The main highlight of the Lamayuru trip is the stunning Moonland view.
En route, visit the Hall of Fame, Magnetic Hill, and Sangam Point.
Check in to the hotel and take some rest.

Day 3- Lamayuru to Leh | Enroute Likir and Alchi | Distance 135 km

On the way back, visit Alchi and Likir Monasteries.
Drive through the beautiful village of Ule Tokpo.
Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 4- Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardong-La ( world highest motorable road ) | Distance 130 km

Welcome to the world’s highest motorable road at 18,383 ft, where the army canteen serves hot tea, Maggi, and momos.
Witness the breathtaking beauty of the Nubra Valley.
Reach Hunder and enjoy a ride on the exotic double-humped camel.
Stay overnight at Hunder.

Day 5- Back to Leh | Distance 130 km

After breakfast, visit Diskit Monastery for stunning panoramic views of Hunder and Diskit.
Drive back to Leh via the same route.
In the evening, visit the local market for shopping or to try local cuisine.

Day 6- Leh to Pangong Lake | Distance 150 km

After breakfast, depart for Pangong Lake via Chang-La Pass (5,360 m) and stop for photographs at the top.
Pangong Lake is the highest saltwater lake in the world, with no aquatic life found so far.
Witness the lake’s changing colours, best visible in broad daylight.
Stay overnight at a camp near the lake.

Day 7- Pangong to Leh | Enroute 3-idiot School | Distance 150 km

Enjoy the sunrise and have breakfast.
Drive back to Leh via the same route.
Visit the 3 Idiots School (Druk Padma Karpo School) made famous by the Bollywood movie.
Rest at the hotel.

Day 8- Departure from Leh | Distance 5 km

Our representative will transfer you to the airport for your flight back home.
Tour ends with heaps of memories from this Lamayuru trip.

50% of the total payment must be transferred at the time of booking; the remaining balance is payable 15 days before the tour starts
Mototour Ladakh holds no responsibility for roadblocks, flight cancellations, or any unforeseen situations during the tour
Children between 5–8 years will be charged without bed (no bed or extra mattress will be provided)
Children above 8 years will be charged as extra bed (extra mattress will be provided)

Cancellation Policy

25% of the total tour cost will be charged if the tour is cancelled more than 15 days before the departure date
50% cancellation charges will apply if the tour is cancelled 10 days before the departure date
No cancellation refund will be provided if the tour is cancelled within 9 days prior to the departure date
No refund will be made once the tour has started
