This itinerary also features iconic landmarks such as Pangong Lake, Chang La Pass, and Places like Durbuk and Tarsing Karmo. all meticulously crafted for those seeking authentic Ladakhi experiences beyond the ordinary tourist trail.
Day 1- Arrival in Leh
- Today marks the start of your high-altitude adventure in Ladakh. Upon arrival at Leh (3,524 m), settle into your accommodation and allow your body to acclimatize. In the evening, explore Leh Market for local crafts and savor Ladakhi cuisine, followed by a quick visit to Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace for panoramic views of the city and surrounding mountains.
Route: Leh Airport → Leh Town (Hotel) → Shanti Stupa → Leh Palace → Leh Market
Altitude: Leh at approximately 3,524 meters (11,562 feet)
Distance: ~5–10 km (3–6 miles) from the airport to Leh town, plus short local commutes
Duration: 3 hours
Day 2- Leh Local Sightseeing & Acclimatization
- Dedicate this day to exploring Leh’s cultural gems and further acclimatizing to the thin mountain air. Visit Thiksey Monastery for a glimpse of the region’s Buddhist heritage, followed by Shey Palace—the former summer capital of Ladakh. Use the remainder of the day to finalize and prepare for your upcoming Galwan Valley route.
Route: Leh → Thiksey Monastery → Shey Palace → Leh

Distance: Approximately 30–40 km (19–25 miles) total for local sightseeing
Duration: 3 to 4 Hours
Day 3 - Leh to Galwan Valley via Durbuk & Shyok, then Back to Durbuk
- Today’s ride is the highlight of your Galwan Valley trip. Depart early from Leh, heading east through the scenic Shyok region via Changla pass. You’ll pass multiple checkpoints en route, showcasing Ladakh’s strategic frontier. you can visit Tarsing Karmo Monestary if time permits, and Indian army is expected to build 2 cafeteria along the way, you will witness the famous silk route if you happen to have a binocular. And after a while there is a spot known as (Nya Yakmik) where you can witness Golden Fish which is subjected to Purity of heart, (sounds funny but relatable to the person seeing it). There is also Horse and double humped camel ride at the spot. ( Subjected to availability ) After experiencing the raw beauty of Galwan Valley, retrace your path to Durbuk for an overnight stay.
Route: Leh → Shyok → Durbuk → Galwan Valley → Return to Durbuk

Day 4- Durbuk to Pangong Lake ( Merak )
- Bid farewell to Durbuk and embark on a relatively short but scenic journey to Pangong Lake. The shimmering blue waters at roughly 4,225 m are a photographer’s dream, with towering mountains rising dramatically around the lakeshore. Upon arrival, settle into a lakeside camp or guesthouse for the night.
Route: Durbuk → Tangtse → Pangong Lake - Merak
Altitude: Pangong Lake at ~4,225 meters (13,862 feet)
Distance: ~80–90 km (50–56 miles)
Duration: 3 - 4 hours
Day 5 - Pangong Lake to Leh via Chang La
- Start your day with a sunrise view over Pangong’s crystalline waters. Then, ascend the winding roads of Chang La Pass—one of the world’s highest motorable passes at around 5,360 m. Enjoy the stunning Himalayan vistas before descending towards Leh, where you’ll arrive by late afternoon.
Route: Pangong Lake → Chang La Pass → Karu → Leh
Altitude: Chang La at ~5,360 meters (17,586 feet), descending to Leh at 3,524 meters
Distance: ~150 km (93 miles)
Duration: 6 hours

- 25% charge if cancelled before 15 days of departure
- 50% charge if cancelled 10 days before departure
- No refund if cancelled within 9 days of departure
